Have a little eye candy

I went to a large funeral yesterday and got to visit with wonderful people. I collected first blessings from some new priests and had an amazing day. It’s a spectacular glimpse into a different world to spend time with this particular group.

Meanwhile, back at the writing ranch, I’m slowly sorting out my heroine’s problem. She’s a lot nicer than before, so what is the struggle she’s encountered that gives the book some forward motion? Thing is, murder isn’t the struggle, it’s just an item on the way!

So pictures, while I think. First up, this might be the Patuxent river. Or the Severn? I cropped the bottom of the picture which included the road I was standing on. Boring. In fact I keep wondering if there’s a way to crop more of the picture to make it more exciting. That would take experimentation that I don’t have time for right now. But in my imagination I’d love to walk down that path, around the corner, and see what’s there.

I wondered at first why this picture was in my gallery. Oh!

Here’s another by the same photographer. (I have permission to use these!)

And because I love stained glass, Saint Athanasius. He gets a book and quill (slight panic attack, is this Saint John the Evangelist?) and bishop’s robes (okay, not Saint John who doesn’t get a bishop’s crook), and usually references to the cross. Check out his over stole!

Happy Tuesday.
