How about some eye candy…

For various reasons I’m a little behind this week on my reading. No politics. No religion. How about pictures of things I think are beautiful. And no, not my grandkids, who don’t belong on a blog, but who are incredibly beautiful.

White iris from my yard.

A picture from Iowa that helped inspire a bit of my latest story. Those rocks are full of fossils. But the pictures of the fossils are … not really eye candy…

Taken with my phone so it can’t be blown up very well. Might be the Severn River.

It’s a good thing I took a picture of these Peggy Jeffcoat day lilies once. The deer have eaten them every year since them.

Mountain laurel. I have no idea where this picture was taken but I have learned that these plants cannot coexist with sheep. Perhaps I should say, sheep cannot coexist with them, since it is the sheep that die.

Is a set of eye candy complete without this picture?
