Want to learn more about Father Emil Kapaun?
Father Kapaun was a chaplain during the Korean War. He was taken prisoner while he was helping other wounded Americans. He helped the enlisted soldier/prisoners although he wasn’t permitted to be near them. He stole food to help other prisoners stay alive, and invoked Saint Dismas as he did it. He is amazing. A boy in Kansas was healed of a broken neck, after prayers invoking the aid of Father Kapaun, and Father Kapaun is being considered for canonization.
